Karen Lee Howell Wright, age 57, of Booneville passed away on December 19, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1966, in Portland, OR, to the late George Howell and Evelyn Lee Howell.

Karen is survived by her sons, Kimbel Wilson and Ronnie Howell, as well as her grandchildren. She leaves behind her special friend, James Borck, and her caregiver, Bettye Jean Greer, who both provided comfort and support during her final days.

Karen’s life was marked by her passion and love for animals. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed making jewelry, a skill she shared with those around her. Karen’s culinary talents were evident in her love for cooking, and she took great pride in cultivating beautiful gardens. The joy she found in these simple pleasures was surpassed only by the happiness she experienced while swimming at Piney Grove and exploring the mountains.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn Lee Howell. As family and friends gather to celebrate her life, they will remember a woman who embraced the beauty of nature and the warmth of human connections.

A private burial will take place, allowing those closest to Karen to pay their respects in an intimate setting. Associated Family Funeral Home in Tupelo is honored to oversee the arrangements and extend their support to the Wright family and friends during this difficult time.
