Passed down family stories are part of the oral history of our culture.

Join us at the Union County Heritage Museum on Oct. 16, 2025, 12 noon, as Bro. Bill Everett talks about his family stories and his book “The Adventures of George and Spankey.”

This book is a tribute to the generational impact of a life anchored in Christ. Always touching and sometimes humorous, these personal stories about a young boy and his dog will remind readers of the power of living intentionally and the importance of passing down biblical values. It’s a gentle but powerful call to leave a legacy that outlives us—one rooted in truth, love, and a deep reverence for God.

The event is part of New Albany’s Literary Fest 2025. It is free and open to the public. There will be a light lunch at 11:30, courtesy of the New Century Club.

The Union County Heritage Museum is located at 114 Cleveland St., New Albany, MS 38652
