New Albany- Carrie Estene Williams Alexander, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born December 14, 1937 to Estle and Alta Williams. She was the retired owner/operator of Estene’s Cut & Curl. She enjoyed sewing and was a great cook. She was a faithful member of Glenfield Baptist Church and loved her church family. She was a dearly loved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend; and will be missed by all who loved her.
A visitation will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
All times will be at United Funeral Service. Bro. Barry James Klempnauer will officiate. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Roger Alexander; two daughters, Sarita Levins and Shannon Ellison; and a sister, Barbara Fortune.
She is survived by a daughter, Frankie Roberts (Bobby); a sister, Betty Kelly (Jimmy); a brother, Buddy Williams (Betty); four grandchildren, Emily Forman (Clay), Hanna Basil (Tyler), Alex Ellison, and Sissy Grisham, and five great grandchildren, Payton Grisham, Carrie Forman, Wes Forman, Rob and Kenley Basil.
