Elizabeth Fay Harville, 76

September 5, 1947  –  November 24, 2023

AUBURN COMMUNITY — A great lady with a large heart and selfless countenance departed this life on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, from North Miss. Medical Center after a brief illness. Elizabeth Fay Barber Harville was born in Tupelo on Sept. 5, 1947 to the late Rex Lee Barber and Nannie Lou Lummus Barber. She attended school at Mantachie High School and married Gerald W. Harville on Sept. 2, 1982, a marriage of 41 years at her death. Fay loved people and had a wonderful smile and vivacious personality. She worked for Dreyfus Jewelers, then the Consumer Credit Bureau, and retired after many years as Office Administrator at Radiology Associates. Fay was in her happy place as the owner of BB’s Formals, a prom/pageant and wedding shop where her creations dazzled all her clients. She spent a great deal of time as the beautician at Holland Funeral Directors, often helping with cosmetics.



Fay was a charter member of the Mantachie Church of Christ and a member of the Eggville Church of Christ since 1992. She loved and doted over her family, especially her grandchildren who loved their Nana.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 4 PM Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Visitation will be from 4 PM-6PM Sunday and from 3 PM-service time on Monday, all at Holland-Tupelo, which is honored to serve their friends. Fay leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Gerald of Auburn; her children, Tara Webb, Amy Lindsey, Carol Koon (Josh), and Jeff Harville (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Lyndsie Minor (Eric), Haley Heatherly, Cass Heatherly, Ken Garrett Umfress, Reece Cole, Joy Beth Umfress, Ivy Koon,  and Aiden Cole; her great grandchildren, Cooper Minor, Zade Owens, Creed Minor, Ronan Owens, and Will Declan Umfress; brother-in-law, Carroll Herring; her sisters-in-law, Linda Gale Bartlett, Sandra Farrell (Greg), and Jane Gregory (George); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, Dr. Vernon Rayford, Tim Brock, Carroll Herring, and Ricky Roberts.
