Evie Lucille Hamblin Fitzgerald, 98

June 14, 1925 – April 4, 2024

Lucille Fitzgerald, 98, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 4, 2024. She was born in Union County June 14, 1925, to Herman and Oma Lee Hamblin. She was a homemaker and devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church where she served in many capacities over the years, including Sunday School teacher through 2019. She loved the Lord, her family and her church family. She touched the lives of many throughout the years through her faith and love. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
Services will be Monday, April 8, 2024, at 3:30 pm at Liberty Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until start of service with Bro. Mike Powell officiating. Her grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
She is survived by one brother, Milburn Hamblin, one sister, Ivery Cobb, one daughter Sherran (Tommy) Whitten, two sons Lloyd (Gayle) Fitzgerald, Robert (Susan) Fitzgerald, nine grandchildren, Robin (Ginger) Whitten, Tonya Goudelock, John Robert Fitzgerald, Brian Fitzgerald (Sarah), Angie Baggett (Anthony), Brad Jenkins, Bridget (Mark) Brown, Jamie Kincade, and Veronica (Derek) Keith, 23 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years, Ray Fitzgerald, her parents, three brothers, and one great grandchild.
