James Cameron Fancher, 86

 November 6, 1936 – October 28, 2023

New Chapel Community- James Cameron Fancher, 86, died Saturday, October 28, 2023. He was a lifelong New Chapel Community resident, born on November 6, 1936, to James Buchanan Fancher and Lessie Geneva Morris Fancher. James Cameron spent the majority of his professional career as an IT manager. In his personal life he enjoyed camping, cross country motorcycle trips, and especially dirt track racing. He was known for his unique repairs, taking on a challenge, and telling endless stories of the results.



James Cameron leaves behind his three children, Mark Fancher and his wife, Pam, of Mooreville, James L. “Jim” Fancher and his wife, Anita, of Mooreville, and Gary Fancher of Kenosha, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Martin Fancher and his wife, Lisha, of Mooreville, Ashley Ross and her husband, Duane, of Meridian, Megan Senter and her husband, Tim, of Mooreville, Christie Dear and her husband, Marshall, of Tupelo, Jessica Peralta and her husband, Gerald, of Tupelo, Douglas Cameron Webb of Mooreville, Olivia Nunnelee and her husband, Matthew, of Tupelo, and James Caleb Fancher and her husband, Jessica, of Tupelo; nine great-grandchildren; and one close cousin, Susan Keith and her husband, Gary.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Lou Webb; son-in-law, Doug; and sister, Patsy Ruth Thompson.

Public visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2023, at New Chapel Church.

Private family graveside services will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, at New Chapel Cemetery. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Martin Fancher, Caleb Fancher, Douglas Cameron Webb, Tim Senter, Gerald Peralta, Matthew Nunnelee, Christian Fancher, Marshall Dear, and Duane Ross.
