Jason O’neal Welch, 49

 October 31, 1974 – November 5, 2023

Bro. Jason O’neal Welch was born October 31, 1974 in Lee County to Gloria Welch and the late William Earl Young. He passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 5, 2023 at North MS Medical Center.
At an early age, he joined Sandhill M.B. Church and later moved his membership to Rueben Chapel
CME Church until his health failed. Jason leaves to mourn his passing his loving and devoted mother: Gloria Welch (Robert) of New Albany, MS; his daughter: Kadijaha Welch of Southaven, MS; his son: J’Shaun Welch of Tupelo, MS; (3) special daughters: Lanijah (Stanley) Parnell, Kyasia Young and Sha’Kira (Cameron) Mayes of Tupelo, MS; (2) godsons: Marticus Rimmer and Jordan Stovall; (4) sisters: Demetria Welch (John) of Tupelo, MS, Fran Welch (Banard) of Baldwyn, MS,
Roshedria Shumpert of Saltillo, MS, Vickie Beene of Rienzi, MS; (1) brother: Dennis (Erica) Welch of
South Dakota; (3) grandchildren: Khe’lani, Ja’Karii and Amarii Parnell of Tupelo, MS; (2) special aunts:
Billie Faye Cole and Joyce Ragin; a special cousin: Utoria Cole; a special friend: LaSha Betts; a host of
aunts and uncles; a host of nieces and nephews; a godmother: Brenda Agnew and his best friend: Kevin
Adair.
He was preceded in death by his dad: William Earl Young, his grandmothers: Mary Lee Agnew and
Carrie Lee Young; (2) grandfathers: Curtis Young and Melvin Ragin and (1) nephew: Logan Scales.
