Jessie Mildred “Monk” Steward, 91

July 29, 1932 – March 6, 2024

Jessie Mildred “Monk” Steward, 91, departed this life on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was born July 29, 1932, to Thomas and Gracie Jordan Dodds. She was a retired factory worker. She was a Christian and a faithful member of Bethlehem Church. She enjoyed gardening, riding the golfcart, word search puzzles, traveling to the mountains, and her dog “Sweety”. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Her family was her most prized possession.
She is survived by her three daughters, Betty Lynn Armstrong (Bobby), Donna Anderson (Ken), and Enola Taylor (Jim), two sons, Billy Steward (Sherry) and Bobby Joe Steward (Connie), six grandchildren, Star Parker, Tyler Anderson, BJ Armstrong, Camille Watkins, Kyle Taylor, and Jaden Taylor, ten great grandchildren, Logan Parker, Kimber Brevard, Kyler Brevard, Abigail Armstrong, Falon Anderson, Quay Anderson, Hudson Armstrong, Foley Anderson, Maddox Watkins, Barnes Anderson and one on the way, Camden Watkins. Along with a host of nieces and nephews, she loved Susan and Neal Scott as part of her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, RV Steward, three brothers and one sister.
