JoAnn Marks, 73

Saltillo- JoAnn Russell Marks, 73, died Thursday, October 12, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was the only daughter of James Russell and Bobbie Sue Mabry Russell. She was born on November 20, 1949. She was a Saltillo High School graduate and after a long successful career, she retired in 2007 from Action Industries. She was married for over 50 years to Howard Marks before his death in 2021. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She adored her dog, Bella. Her biggest joy came from being a grandmother to Connor.

She leaves behind her daughter, Michelle Marks of Saltillo; one grandson, Connor Shidler of Saltillo; one brother, Ronnie Russell of Corinth; and one niece, Yvonne Hoard of Booneville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Private graveside services on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Saltillo Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Brooks, Cary Russell, Marc Russell, and Jeff Davis.
