Kendrick Lee “Cowboy” Dabbs, 47

January 29, 1976 – January 24, 2024

Kendrick Lee Dabbs better known as “COWBOY” passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024 at NMMC at the age of 47.

Kendrick was employed at Hussey Sod Farm in Mooreville MS for almost 30 yrs. He enjoyed working on any kind of machinery; even if it didn’t need to be fixed. Kendrick also had a love for horses, rodeos, horseshows, and country music. He was a quiet person and liked his personal space, when he came to visit we all knew to get that conversation in quick because we only had about 5-10 minutes. He didn’t hang around long but those 5-10 minutes were priceless. He loved his family and we dearly loved him.

Kendrick was born January 29, 1976 in Tupelo MS to Ruby Johnson Dabbs and Johnny Dabbs. He attended Itawamba High School and was a member of Friendship CME Church. He is survived by his father Johnny Dabbs (Fulton, MS); one sister Sharon Cribbs (Jonathan) of Fulton, MS; one bonus sister Janice Chandler; two brothers Jimmie Johnson (Mary) of Fulton, MS; and Alloric Dabbs (Tina) of Plantersville, MS. His nieces and nephews were his children: Tiffany Johnson (Corey), Desmen Johnson (Dee), Jevante Stegall (Rebekah), Jodeci Dabbs, Tyreke Stegall (Makayla), Aldasia Dabbs, Jarnazeah French, Jonathan Cribbs Jr, Colton French and Journee Dabbs. His great nieces and nephews Nylai Johnson, Kyson Stegall, Zylan Stegall, Kalel Scales, Jy’Onia Stegall, and Zaleigha Johnson. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
