Lee County Mann Charged with Aggravated Assault

Lee County- On march 11^th, 28 year old James Eaton was charged with Aggravated Assault after a stabbing incident. The Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911. According to the caller, a female had been stabbed, and another person was meeting an ambulance at an Auburn area store. Deputies learned that the assault happened at a Mooreville residence on Cr. 1349.

When officers arrived on the scene of the stabbing, Eaton had already fled the scene. He was arrested a few hours later on charges of Aggravated Assault.

The victim is recovering at the North Mississippi Medical Center, where she is in stable condition.

Eaton was arraigned, and given a $250,000 bond. He is currently on probation, and will be presented at the next Lee County Grand Jury as habitual offender.
