Mike Chunn, 73

October 22, 1950 – April 7, 2024

Michael Boyce Chunn, 73, departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born October 22, 1950 to Boyce Halbert and Ruth Randolph Chunn. He served our great Country in the Navy and fought in the Vietnam War and did both with pride. Mike was larger than life, he was the life of the party, and was always ready for whatever came his way. He loved his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, and good music. He never met a stranger and always made everyone around him feel welcomed and loved; he will be missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at United Funeral Service from 3:30 until 7:00. A short private celebration of life will start at 7:00 following the visitation. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park.
Those left to carry on his memories are his loving wife since 1979, Jennie Sue Merritt Chunn, two daughters, Jennifer Thomas and CiCi Smith (Ray), two sisters, Judy Swann (Jimmy) and Sara Morton (Tommy), four grandchildren, Emry, Ella, Bennett, and Trace, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
