Mildred Hall Willard, 98

August 7, 1925 – January 14, 2024

Annie Mae Mildred Hall Willard, 98, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born August 7, 1925 in New Albany to Quitman and Lillie Motes Hall.
Mildred Willard was a living testament to how great God truly is. Her faithfulness was always clear to everyone because she would tell anyone about Jesus and how to be saved. Her happiest moments were around her family and in church and she made sure to instill that same faith in her daughters, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
When she said she loved you, you knew and felt that she truly meant it.
She was happiest when all of her family was with her and always welcomed any new family member with love. Each daughter, and grandchild was gifted a quilt made by her loving hands before her eyesight faded. She always prayed for saints and sinners alike and was a prayer warrior for family, church and nation.
She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church, was active in WMU, GA’s and other church related organizations and volunteered her time at the Union County Baptist Association clothes closet for years. As a Walmart Associate for over 20 years more lives were touched by her kindness. Many will remember her as a World Book encyclopedia sales lady.
She will be missed dearly by family and all who knew her.
She is survived by four daughters, Judith Willard Winton (Jada) of Hartselle, AL, Janice Willard Rhea of New Albany, Jeanette Willard Frazier (Eddie) of Myrtle and Linda Suzette Willard of New Albany; five grandchildren, Valerie Winton Jones, Jeff Rhea, Brad Rhea, Mark Rhea and Kimberly Frazier; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Olen Willard; a sister, Mary Hall Willard; and a son-in-law, David Rhea.
A visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service. Bro. Donnie Schuman will officiate. Burial will be at Glenfield Memorial Park. United Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
