Nancy Kay Brown Campbell, 78

August 16, 1945 – February 19, 2024

Nancy Brown Campbell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones February 19, 2024 after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born August 16, 1945 the second of three daughters to Elmer and Caroline Brown. She attended school in Fort Worth and graduated from Pascal High School. She was a proud graduate of TCU and a Horned Frog fan for life.
Nancy struggled with vision problems from the age of three, but never let that stop her from learning, crafting, and trying new things. She loved to go to new places and meet new friends. She never stopped moving. She was an EMT, a baseball coach, furniture restoration expert, a brown belt in karate and a schoolteacher for over 32 years. She taught in Fort Worth, Midlothian, Palmer, and Richards, Texas and was loved by her students. She made lasting friendships everywhere she went.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother Caroline Goehler Brown, her father Elmer Brown, as well as her two sisters Beverly Brown and Carolyn Ann Cropper. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth and husband Mike Truemper of New Albany, Mississippi as well as her son Clay Campbell and his wife Brook of Fort Worth, Texas. Nancy is also survived by six grandchildren: Cody Campbell and his wife Rachel of Midlothian, Texas, Luke Campbell and his wife Ana of Galveston, Texas, Samuel Campbell of Wichita Falls, Caroline Lewis and her husband Braden of Anchorage, Alaska, and Catherine and Charley Truemper of New Albany. Nancy was very proud to have three great grandchildren as well: Adelyn and Atlas Campbell of Midlothian and a new baby girl who will be born in March.
Nancy will be missed by all who knew her, but we stand firm in God’s promise and know she is in his presence at this moment seeing His glory perfectly.
A memorial will follow this summer.
