Reading fair has New Albany students working hard
New Albany Elementary School held its annual Reading Fair on January 19th.

The New Albany High School Reading Fair was held on Wednesday, January 18.
First place winners will advance to the Regional Reading Fair to be held at Lafayette County High School. School winners are as follows:
Individual Fiction & Literary Non-fiction winners l-r: Citlaly Avila, 1st Place; Taylor Willis, 2nd Place; Maggie Creekmore, 3rd Place
Group Fiction & Literary Non-fiction winners l-r: Alex Herring & Baleigh Bowers, 1st Place; Rosalee Roberts & Kalob Adair, 2nd Place; Emma Myers & Meadow Golden, 3rd Place.
Workshops gave Elementary School students a head start for success in the Reading Fair
New Albany Elementary School hosted a Family Reading Fair Workshop on Thursday, January 12. Students and their families received tips on how to create a reading fair board, looked at sample boards, and were given the opportunity to ask teachers questions about the judging process. Fourteen families attended the event that was sponsored by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program. NAES teachers Balinda Denton and Angela Victory coordinated the event.
