Randy Theodore Goines, 61

Lake Piomingo- Randy Theodore Goines, 61, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home. He was born December 15, 1961, to Billy Leon Goines and Frances “Bonnie” Voncille Williams. Randy worked the majority of his professional career as a carpenter, but he was well known for being a jack-of-all-trades. He and longtime companion, Shirley Sapp, have been together since September 6, 2006. They attended Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a simple man; he enjoyed watching a variety of sci-fi shows and Modern Marvels.

Randy leaves behind his mother, Bonnie Williams of the Troy Community; companion, Shirley Sapp of Lake Piomingo; daughter, Lauren Thompson (Tanner Letson) of Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Mason and Matthew Bone; and five siblings, Michael Goines, Diane “Sissy” Ables (Reggie), Freddy Goines (Ruby), Rebecca Goines, and Caroline Goines. He also leaves behind Shirley’s sister, Linda Newman (David) of Olive Branch; and Shirley’s children, Billy White, Kathy Diab, and Michael White.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Leon Goines; and one brother, David Goines.

He will have private family services.
