ReShonda “Moosie” Strong, 41

November 5, 1982 – January 19, 2024

ReShonda Denise “Moosie” Strong was born November 5, 1982 to Patricia Bailey Strong and Charles Edward Strong at Ivy Memorial Hospital in West Point, MS. On Friday, January 19, 2024, ReShonda departed this earthly life to begin her eternal life with our Father in Heaven.



ReShonda professed her hope in Christ, at an early age, at the Third Mt. Olive MB Church in West Point, MS. Later, she joined Mt. Zion MB Church, Verona, MS, where she was a faithful member of the Youth department, sang in the Youth choir, and formed lasting friendships.

She graduated from Tupelo High School where she sang in the choir. She joined the U.S. Navy and served in Iraq and Afghanistan in the Naval Construction Battalion. At the time of her death, ReShonda was employed by McDonalds.

ReShonda was a kind and nurturing soul who would give anyone her last. She was also a loving, hands-on mother of three handsome young men. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making lasting memories.

Her memories will be forever cherished in the hearts and minds of her twin sons, Caleb and Cameron, and youngest son, Bryson; her mother, Patricia Bailey Strong (Larry) and her father, Charles E. Strong; paternal grandfather, Sampson Strong; two brothers, Derrell Strong (Dreka) and Brandon Strong (Shekerra); two nephews, Jaylon Tucker and Korban Strong; one niece, Promise Tucker, all of Tupelo, MS, and a host of aunts, uncles, and friends.

ReShonda is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ilean Bailey, her maternal grandfather, Alex Wilson; aunts, Mary Helen Johnson and Mary Ann Bailey; uncles, Robert Bailey, Jr, Willie C. Bailey, and Willie Wilson.
