Robert Curtiss Coleman “Pig”, 79, of Memphis, TN, transitioned on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Methodist South Hospital.

Robert Curtiss Coleman “Pig”, was born on October 31, 1953, to the late Hammer Chairs and Nancy Coleman, in Marshall County, MS. On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, he went to his heavenly home.

Robert was a 1973 graduate of Sandflat High School. He was also a graduate of Northwest Community College in Senatobia, MS and Rust College in Holly Springs, MS. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Isom Chapel CME Church in Holly Springs, MS. He was employed as an automobile mechanic for several years. He was kind and considerate to all.  Robert loved Karate, Baseball, Football and was a master mechanic.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife:  Elnoria Coleman of Horn Lake, MS; one son: Curtis Coleman of Memphis, TN; three daughters: Christiana Oliver (Antonio) of Whitehaven, TN, Tyronzia Tate (Lonnie) , and Ashley Coleman both of Horn Lake, MS; two brothers: Chester Smith of Benton County, MS, and Lonnie Coleman (Cathlean) of Olive Branch, MS; six sisters: Delorie Stephen and Alice Anderson both of Memphis, TN, Lorine Robinson, Louise Coleman, Annie Chairs, and Maxcine Archbell all of Marshall County, MS; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents Hammer Chairs and Nancy Coleman; and seven brothers.

Services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023,, 11:00 a.m.,  at Hudsonville C.M.E. Church, 855 South Slayden Road, Holly Springs, MS 38635.

Burial will take place in the Church Cemetery.
