Teresa Taylor, 71

June 28, 1952 – August 27, 2023

Teresa Taylor passed from this life to life eternal on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Teresa was born to Mary Frances and William Rainwater on June 28, 1952. She was welcomed by her brother, Michael “Mike” Rainwater (deceased), and was later followed by her brother, Gregory “Greg” Rainwater (deceased), and a sister, Connie Nutt.
Teresa appreciated and was a lover of all of God’s creations, especially her fur babies. Prior to retirement she was a dedicated employee of Shannon Eye Clinic, Baptist Memorial Hospital and Wal-Mart. Being a “people person” she much enjoyed meeting and interacting with customers and fellow employees.
Teresa was devoted to her husband, Charlie Taylor, who survives. She was a loving mother to her only child, Benji Taylor (deceased), and a caring friend to many. In addition to her husband, loving memories will continue to be shared by her sister, Connie Nutt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Martha and Edd Leon Taylor, Shelia and Sammy Taylor, Debbie and Steve Taylor, Wanda and Randy Taylor, and Mary Taylor and Hap Toney, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends who were blessed to have known her. Although our hearts are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Teresa is rejoicing in Heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her son, Benji, and other family members and friends.
United Funeral Service in New Albany is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2023 at the funeral home. Bro. Jeffery Taylor and Bro. Mitchell Hall will officiate. Burial will be at McAllister’s Cemetery in New Albany.
