William Oliver Adair, 85

September 4, 1938 – February 7, 2024

William Oliver Adair, 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union County. He was born September 4, 1938 in Union County to Henry and Dolly Williams Adair. He was a 1958 graduate of Ingomar High School. He retired after serving nineteen years as a Game Warden. He enjoyed hunting, particularly small game, and fishing. He loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He was a member of Ingomar Baptist Church.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. until funeral service time at 3:00 p.m. at United Funeral Service. Bro. Clyde Pound and Bro. Clift Jeter will officiate. Burial will be at Ingomar Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Trent Adair (Ginger) and Avery Adair; one sister, Jane Adair Cole (James); four grandchildren, Jett Adair, Webb Adair, Mills Marie Adair and Will Adair; and his special caregivers, Cecilia McDonald, Shirley Tedford, Betty Christopherson, Marie Sansing, Haleigh White and Ruth Greer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda Wood Adair; three brothers, Harry Adair, Kenny Adair and Carl Adair; and one of his caregivers, Ann Moody.
Pallbearers will be Olen Clark, Jeff Adair, Tony Adair, Cliff Adair, Phil Adair and Tim Adair.
