Brenda Sue Tucker Williams, 74

August 29, 1949 – September 16, 2023

Brenda Sue Tucker Williams, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, peacefully passed away on September 16, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice, at the age of 74. Brenda was born on August 29, 1949, to the proud parents JD Tucker and Wanda Ford Tucker in Amory, Mississippi.



Brenda’s journey through life was marked by numerous accomplishments and meaningful connections with others. She was a graduate of Shannon High School, where she completed her education in 1966. In her professional life, Brenda was the former owner of Williams Grocery in Shannon, MS, where she served her community with dedication and warmth.

Brenda’s legacy is carried on by her loving son, Greg Williams (Jennifer), and her devoted sister, Debra Ridling (Jimmy). She was preceded in death by her parents, JD and Wanda Tucker, her long-time significant other, Paul Duncan, her cherished best friend, Teresa Tart, her former husband, Guy Williams, and her loyal canine companion, Sweetheart.

Throughout her life, Brenda embraced a variety of passions and interests. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, relishing in the camaraderie and shared adventures of the group. Her creative spirit shone through her love for arts and crafts, allowing her to express herself and bring joy to those around her.

Brenda’s adventurous side was apparent as she held her pilot’s license, soaring through the skies with a sense of freedom and wonder. She was known by her CB handle, “Lemon Twist,” a testament to her vibrant personality and zest for life.

Brenda Sue Tucker Williams touched the hearts of many with her kindness, creativity, and love for adventure. Her memory will live on in the stories shared by those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a remarkable soul who brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rest in peace, dear Brenda. Your laughter, your love, and your zest for life will forever remain in our hearts.
