Glenda Sue Boatner, 68, transitioned on Friday, November 17, at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Ripley, MS.



Mrs. Glenda Sue Boatner, a beloved Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother was welcomed into our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s loving arms on Friday, November 17th, 2023 in Ripley, MS at the age of 68. Born on July 16, 1955 in Fulton, KY. Glenda was a woman of strength, generosity and thoughtfulness, who touched the lives of many with her kind, loving spirit. She loved wood-working, crafting, growing beautiful roses and singing. One of her favorite songs she sang to her children and grand-children often was “You are My Sunshine”.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents John Boyd Warren and Lydia Wilson Warren, her twin sister Linda Lou Faulkner, her sister Grace Nell Lassiter and her brother William “Jackie” Thomas Warren.

She is survived by her sisters Ethelene Hulsey and Shirley Tarver, her beloved children Lena Willis (Chuck), Jena Henderson, Amanda Boatner, Alicia Houck (Rusty), James Adam Boatner and Grace Boatner.

Known as “Mamaw” to her grandchildren Jaden & Kiley Westmoreland, James Bryan “BB” ,Paisleigh & Jase Boatner, Cameron Densmore (Meridith), Hanna Glover (Laramie),Brianna Schrock (Seth), Ridge Willis (Autumn); four great-grandchildren Rowen Densmore, Scarlet Guzman, Ezra Guzman, and Ezekiel Glover.  Known as Aunt Glenda to many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2023 @ 3:00 p.m., at Red Banks Baptist Church, 16 N. Red Banks Rd, Red Banks, MS 38661
