TUPELO – John Peter Trocha died Monday, September 11, 2023, after a battle with cancer. He was 77. John was born on December 12, 1945 to Stella Trocha in Kessel, Germany. When he was six years old, John and his mother came to the U.S. After John graduated high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he completed three years of service and was ranked E5. In 1967, he met Bobbie Humphreys in Chicago, IL and John and Bobbie were married and had two children, Debbie and Brian. The family moved to Tupelo, MS in 1978 and John retired in 2010.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Saint James Catholic Church in Tupelo with Rev. Tim Murphy officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to service time at the church. Inurnment will follow in the Saint James Columbarium. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is honored to serve the family.

John is survived by his wife, Bobbie Trocha; his son Brian, and daughter Debbie Edenfield (Mark); grandchildren, Fuller McMillan and Eden McMillan; and step-sister Irene Isackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
