Karen Ann Coker, 57

July 21, 1966  –  October 7, 2023

BELDEN -Karen Ann Coker, after a happy lifetime of living with developmental challenge and being loved supremely by her family, departed this life on Sat., Oct. 7, 2023 at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was 57. Karen was born in Tupelo on July 21, 1966 to Dean Coker and Mary Heatherly Coker. She grew up here, enjoyed her family and friends as a youth and graduated from Mooreville High School in 1985. Karen was an interesting lady. She loved the outdoors passionately. Over the years, she rescued many animals and loved all her cats, dogs and chickens which she cared for on the family land. She loved her 4 wheeler and loved to fish. Karen was raised in the Belden Baptist Church and Lakeview Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her faith was solid and strong. She loved music especially country and southern gospel. There was never a day she didn’t feel loved and cared for by her parents, brother and extended family.



A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 PM-service time Tuesday only at Holland-Tupelo which is honored to be serving their friends. Karen is survived by her parents, Dean and Mary Coker of Tupelo; her brother, Jimmy Coker and wife, Connie of Pensacola, Fla. and Tupelo; his nieces and nephews: Adalyn, Alexis, Ashlyn and Jaxson; his aunt, Mildren Coker Pannell of Okolona and Uncle, Melvin Coker of Shannon, and all their families.

Pallbearers are Chase, Jamie, Pat, Ricky and Kevin Coker and Dewayne Heatherly.
