Lisa Michelle Thompson Moody, 60

December 31, 1962 – August 28, 2023 

Lisa M. “Sissy” Thompson-Moody, aged 60, a resident of Blue Springs, passed away on August 28, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.



Lisa is survived by her beloved daughter, Lauren Thompson (Lonnie), who was a source of immense pride and joy in her life. Her devotion and love extended to her two cherished grandchildren, Mason and Mathew, who brought boundless happiness to her days.

She is also survived by her sisters, Donnise Keller (Eugene) and Dena Hall (Jeffrey), who stood by her through life’s journey. Lisa’s nurturing spirit touched the lives of her nieces Wendy, Nastasha (Will), and Embril (Ricky Kyle), as well as her nephews Will, Eddie, Brandon, Shawn (Jamie), Corey (Courtney), Trey (Madison), and Josh. Her influence further expanded to include 24 great nieces and nephews, who were all recipients of her warm affection.

Lisa’s sister-in-law, Judy Thompson, held a special place in her heart, and her cousin Vaniece (Scott) shared an unbreakable bond. She was also survived by her aunt Charlotte Kingsley (Mike), who remained a steadfast presence throughout her life.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Sylvia Thompson, as well as her siblings Steven Anthony “Tony” Thompson and Melinda Harrison. Their memories will continue to live on through the stories shared by those who loved them.

Lisa’s life was enriched by her cherished role as a grandmother, and she found true happiness in spending time with her adored grandchildren. The moments they shared will forever be treasured by those who witnessed the love between generations.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Associated Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Tupelo on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A memorial service to celebrate Lisa’s life will commence at the funeral home on the same day, starting at 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support Lisa’s service at Associated Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Tupelo, a heartfelt gesture that will honor her memory and the love she shared with her family.
