Martha Addie Robbins, 89

November 5, 1933 – August 29, 2023

Martha Addie Gregory Robbins departed this life on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born November 5th, 1933 to the late Moscoe and Addie Gregory. She married Joe Keith Robbins on November 27th, 1951 and they moved to Georgia due to his service in the U.S. Marines Corp. When he was discharged, they made their home in New Albany and were married 65 years before his death in 2016.
She loved to travel and was an avid Bridge player. She was a member of the Mother’s Club, helped with Good Samaritan, and Meals on Wheels. She was an active member of First Methodist Church in New Albany where she was a member of the Marjorie Houston Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Robbins Hill and her husband, Dr. Hal Hill of Madison, two sons, Greg Robbins and his wife Jill of New Albany, and Dr. Keith Robbins of New Albany. Five grandchildren, Rob Hill of Madison, Josette Hill Maples (Charlie) of Birmingham of Alabama, Clayton Robbins (Heaven), Read Robbins (Katelyn) and Leah Robbins all of New Albany. Four great-grandchildren, Avery Grey, Jack, Jones, and Arrington Robbins all of New Albany. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Edwin Gregory of Iuka.
Services will be Friday, September 1, at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at First Methodist Church in New Albany. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Hal Hill, Rob Hill, Charlie Maples, Clayton Robbins, Read Robbins, and Drew Vance.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Methodist Church of New Albany.
