July 6, 1953 — November 30, 2023

Teresa Ann Grammer (Holley) went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 30, 2023 in the presence of her children and surviving siblings.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Grammer, her sister, Polly Zinn (Holley), and both parents, Hubert and Ilene Holley.  She is survived by her daughter, Tracie Grammer and daughter, Lauren Knight, her son, Dusty and wife Shane Grammer and children, Caden and Cydney Grammer, Blane, Alex, and Amberly Loper, and son, Jason Grammer and wife Dr. Rupal Bhakta-Grammer and children, Zachary and Maya Grammer.  She is also survived by her brother Larry Holley and wife, Sheila and her brother Phillip Holley and wife, Sonia.

Teresa was born on July 6, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was the youngest of 4 siblings.  She met the love of her life, Johnny Grammer, at the local grocery store in Tupelo and were married until his death in 2013.  She worked as a school secretary for Shannon schools for 9 years.  She lived in Brewer, Mississippi and then spent the last years of her life in Fulton, Mississippi. Prior to health preventing her from doing so, she was actively involved in Sanctuary Hospice Resale shop in Tupelo, MS.
Throughout her life, Teresa was known for her beautiful voice and her love of gospel music.  She had an infectious laugh and a wonderful outlook on life.  She never knew a stranger and had an incomparable affability.  No matter how serious the circumstance, Teresa could always bring light and levity to any situation.  For her family, Teresa was home and where you would be greeted with open arms, a warm hug, and probably an ice-cold Diet Coke and Little Debbie snack.
In her later years, Teresa enjoyed her life as a grandmother to her five grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Nanny.”  She also gave up her guard and adopted a little dog named, Rosie who she loved immensely and was her companion.  As her friends and family will attest, she never had a shortage of friends which was a testament to how she led her life.
Her family knows she is at peace now and with her Savior and her Johnny singing to her heart’s content without pain, with a strong body, and without losing her air.  Her family will miss her deeply but know she continues to live in the hundreds of stories she created with the people that loved her the most.
